San Luis Obispo County's water resources are limited. Many people apply as much as twice the amount of water required by their landscapes. We all play a vital role in meeting our current and future water needs for residential, commercial and agricultural uses. With water conservation in mind, there is a need for water-wise, drought-tolerant landscaping.
The County, in coordination with water purveyors and cities comprising the Partners in Water Conservation (PIWC), is pleased to offer you a tool to help design a water wise garden.
By using the Water Wise Landscaping website you can design and install a water-wise garden. Learn to utilize irrigation methods and equipment that will help you to more easily and efficiently maintain your garden while doing your part to conserve our precious water resources.
